Who has access to your data?

We may share your personal information with a member of our group, which means subsidiaries, and any ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries, as defined in section 1159 of the United Kingdom Companies Act 2006. We share your information to enable us to assess any needs you may have and is part of our commitment to you. We may share your information with selected third parties including:

  • Where we need to fulfil a contract we have entered into with you.
  • Business partners, suppliers, NHS hospital Trusts, auditors and sub-contractors for the performance of any contract we enter into with you.
  • Your information may be shared internally for the purposes of the recruitment exercise. This includes members of the HR team, the recruiting manager and Director and interviewers and staff involved in the recruitment process.
  • We will not share your data with any third parties unless you are successful in your application for employment and we make you an offer of employment.
  • We will then share your data with your former employers to obtain the necessary references for you unless you have approved us doing so in advance. We will let you know when we are doing this.
  • We may also contact professional bodies to confirm your registration where applicable. As part of our pre-employment checks post an offer of employment we ask you to complete a pre-employment health questionnaire.
  • If required we will share your contact details with our occupational health provider who will contact you to discuss your needs. They will only use your data for this purpose and will treat it confidentially.

International Data Use

We collect data during the overseas recruitment process and scrutinise them in the UK.

  • Our website deolifecare.co.uk contains links to and from our traininer partner networks, advertisers and affiliates. We do not accept any responsibility or liability for the pilicies of those websites. It is your descretion to submit any personal data into those websites.
  • Deo Life Care Ltd does not store or transfer any personal data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). All overseas data collected are processed in the UK under the GDPR law in the UK.

How long will we keep your data?

We preserve your data for a specific period of time to carry out our obligations and exercise specific rights in relation to your employment.

  • If your application for employment is unsuccessful we will keep your data on file for six months following the end of the recruitment process. At the end of this period we will delete your data.
  • If your application is successful personal data gathered during the recruitment process will be transferred to your Human Resources file and retained for the duration of your employment and will be covered under our Privacy Policy for employees.

Your Rights

You have a number of rights as outlined below. When exercising these rights we will need to validate your identity to ensure the request is from you. This is a security measure to ensure personal data is not disclosed to an unauthorised third party. You may exercise your rights by contacting us via the contact details below.

Data Security

    We have in place appropriate security measures to prevent your data being accidentally lost, used, accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. Access to your personal data is strictly limited to specific authorised individuals who require access to perform their roles. All data collected and processed by Deo Life Care Ltd is stored on servers in the UK. Internal policies and procedures are in place and reviewed regularly to identify and notify of any breaches of these procedures.

Data Retention

    We will only retain your data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes it was collected for and satisfy any legal, accounting or reporting requirements. For example, when you complete a contract, we need to retain your details for 6 years to satisfy HMRC requirements and some frameworks recommend retaining details for 21 years in case of any long term emerging personal injury claims. If you have worked with us at any point, therefore, we will normally securely retain your details for 21 years.

    Prior to completing a contract with us, by registering your details on our Website we will, typically, retain your details for a period of three years unless you request that they be deleted. In this instance we will anonymise your data so that it cannot be associated with you and retained securely for statistical research purposes.
